Drum
The cassette contact surfaces are of two forms:
•
Wide surfaces as present on the 5
×
4 in
cassette and on six surfaces of the 35 mm
cassette. These are wider than the tape.
•
Narrow surfaces as present on the 6 cm cassette
and on two surfaces of the 35 mm cassette.
These are narrower than the tape.
To replace the tape:
1. Peel off the old tape.
2. For each wide contact surface:
a. Centrally position a length of new tape
along the full length of the surface.
b. Trim the ends of the tape neatly to the
correct length.
3. For each narrow contact surface:
a. Apply a length of new tape along the full
length of the surface, carefully aligning
one edge of the tape with the surface
edge nearest to the cassette window.
b. Trim the ends of the tape neatly to the
correct length.
c. Carefully fold down and secure the free
edge of the tape into the recess
between the cassette windows.
A roll of the approved tape is supplied with your
Quick
Mount
drum. Further rolls can be obtained from
ICG by quoting the part number MR2888.
