Drum Scanner User Manual
The serial cable is supplied pre-connected and
coiled up inside the cabinet.
Warning: The scanner must be connected to the
correct voltage supply (as indicated on
the rating label) and using the power
cable supplied only.
Warning: The scanner must be earthed. It is
designed for use on mains supplies with
earthed neutrals (TN or TT power
systems in accordance with IEC 364). It
should not be connected directly to mains
supplies having impedance earthed
neutrals (IT power systems in accord-
ance with IEC 364).
Warning: Do not connect the mains power to the
scanner until the unit is in its final position
with all covers in place.
Note: The SCSI connection at the scanner is
terminated internally. If any additional SCSI
device is connected, the scanner must be at
the end of any SCSI chain.
Note: The SCSI identifier of the scanner is 6.
Ensure that this number is not assigned to
any other SCSI device in the chain.
To make the connections:
1. Remove the lower grille.
To do this, spring the sides of the grille inwards
to release the retaining lugs.
2. Check that your mains supply voltage is
within the ranges specified on the voltage
rating label located above the connectors.
