 Drum Scanner User Manual

1. Fit the lamp into its housing with the semi-

circular cut-out in the flange towards the
rear of the scanner:

Semi-Circular Cut-Out
to Rear of Scanner

2. Secure the lamp with spring clip.

Note: Ensure that lamp is fully seated in its

housing before fastening the spring clip.

3. Connect the lamp wire to its spade terminal

on the lamp connector printed circuit board.

Note: After several lamp replacements, the

spade connector may become loose. In
this case the lamp connector printed circuit
board should be replaced.

4. Using Scan

Xact

, carry out a Balance All

Apertures operation for both transmission
and reflection copy.

The procedure is given in the Balancing chapter
of the Scan

Xact

5. If a balance failure occurs on any aperture,

re-check that the lamp is properly seated.
