Electrical Connections
3. Connect the SCSI signal cable from the
scanner to appropriate SCSI connector on
the Macintosh.
If you have fitted the PCI SCSI Bus Master card
connect the SCSI cable directly to the high
density SCSI II connector on the card. If there
are other SCSI devices, they must be connected
to the standard built-in SCSI port on the
Macintosh.
If you do not have the PCI SCSI Bus Master
card, connect the SCSI cable to the standard
built-in SCSI port on the Macintosh. If there are
other SCSI devices, the
360
scanner must be at
the end of the SCSI chain.
4. Connect the free end of the cable to the
modem port (marked with a telephone
handset symbol) on the back of the
Macintosh computer unit.
A short length adapter is supplied attached to the
cable to allow it to connect to the Macintosh.
5. Check that no other SCSI device connected
to the Macintosh is assigned identifier
number 6.
SCSI identifier 6 is reserved for the
360
scanner.
