Understanding the MFP control panel messages
37 Insufficient
memory for Flash
Memory Defragment
operation
The MFP cannot defragment flash
memory because the memory
used to store undeleted flash
resources is full.
Install additional memory.
Turn the MFP off, wait 15 seconds, and
then turn it on. Print and Hold jobs will be
lost.
37 Insufficient
memory to collate job
There is not enough memory to
collate the print job.
Press
✓
to print the portion of the job
already stored and begin collating the rest
of the job.
Highlight
Cancel
and press
✓
to cancel
the current job.
37 Insufficient
memory, some Held Jobs
may be lost
Held jobs will be deleted in order to
process the current job.
To avoid this error in the future install more
memory.
38 Memory Full
The MFP is processing data, but
the memory used to store pages is
full.
To avoid this error in the future:
Simplify the print job by reducing the
amount of text or graphics on a page and
deleting unnecessary downloaded fonts or
macros.
Install additional memory.
39 Complex page, some
data may not have
printed
The page may not print correctly
because the print information on
the page is too complex.
To avoid this error in the future:
Reduce the complexity of the page by
reducing the amount of text or graphics on
the page and deleting unnecessary
downloaded fonts or macros.
Set Page Protect to On in the Setup
Menu.
Install additional memory.

Firmware Card
The MFP detects an unsupported
version of firmware on the installed
firmware card.
Turn the MFP off, and then press and hold
Start while turning it on. The MFP reads
the code on the system card and
bypasses the code on the firmware card.
Remove the firmware card.

50 PPDS Font Error
The MFP has received a request
for a font that is not installed.
Highlight
Continue printing
and press
✓
to clear the message and continue
printing the current job.
51 Defective flash
detected
The MFP detects defective flash
memory.
You must install different flash memory
before you can download any resources to
flash.
52 Not enough free
space in flash memory
for resources
There is not enough space in the
flash memory to store the data you
are trying to download.
Install flash memory with more storage
capacity.
