Fax Receive Settings
Defaults Menu – Fax Settings – Fax Receive Settings
Menu item Purpose Values and descriptions
Enable Fax
Receive Allows fax jobs to be received by
the MFP. On* Fax jobs can be received.
Off Fax jobs cannot be received.
Rings to Answer The MFP rings a set number of
rings to indicate an incoming fax
job.
1–25 (1*)
Auto Reduction Scales an incoming fax job so it fits
the size of the print media loaded
in the designated fax source. See
Fax Paper Source as follows for
more information.
On* Scales the incoming fax.
Off Does not scale the incoming fax.
Fax Paper
Source Specifies the print media source
selected to supply print media for
the MFP to print an incoming fax. Auto The print media source is
automatically selected by the MFP.
Tray 1 Tray 1 or the standard tray is the
specified print media source.
MP Feeder The multipurpose feeder is the
specified print media source.
Tray 2 (if an
optional 250-
or 500-sheet
drawer is
installed) Tray 2, which can be either the
optional 250-sheet drawer or the
optional 500-sheet drawer, is the
specified print media source.
Duplex Sets duplex printing (two-sided
printing) either on or off for
incoming fax jobs. On The incoming fax job is duplexed.
Off* The incoming fax job is not
duplexed.
