Cleaning the printhead lens
You can solve some print quality problems by cleaning the printhead lens.
1
Turn the MFP off.

Open the upper front door and the multipurpose feeder door.

Remove the print cartridge. See Replacing the print cartridge .

Locate the glass printhead lens.

Gently wipe the printhead lens with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
Warning: Do not touch the charge roller. Touching the surface will damage the roller.

Reinstall the print cartridge.

Close the upper front door, and then the multipurpose feeder door.
8
Turn the MFP on.
