Understanding the MFP control panel messages
Resetting the
Printer
The MFP is resetting to the current
default settings. Any active print
jobs are canceled. Wait for the message to clear.
Scan next page

Cancel
The last page submitted has been
scanned. Place your next original on the scanner
flatbed, highlight
Scan next page
and
press
✓
.
Highlight
Done
and then press
✓
to finish
the job.
Highlight

Scanner ADF Cover Open
The scanner document feeder
cover is open. Close the cover.
Scanner locked,
release lock under
scanner
The protective scanner carriage
lock is engaged. Turn the MFP off and release the lock.

information.

The system is searching the stored
shortcuts for a match to your entry. No action required.

The displayed fax page number is

Server connection
failed
The device failed to connect to the
network server. For e-mail, make sure the device is
configured correctly for e-mail, and make
sure the e-mail server is working properly.
For FTP, make sure the device is
configured correctly for FTP, the
username and password are correct, and
the FTP server is working properly.
For Scan to PC, make sure the Scan to
PC applet is running on the PC, and any
firewalls are correctly configured
(Windows XP has a default firewall; see
your support person if necessary).
