Procedure
To install the bezel, complete the following steps.
Bezel
1. Position the bezel on the front of the compute node.
2. Press the bezel securely against the chassis.
Note: Make sure that the bezel is pressed flat against the chassis around the
power button, to maintain access to the power button.
Removing the CMOS battery
Use this information to remove the CMOS battery.
Before you begin
Before you remove the CMOS battery, complete the following steps:
1. Read “Safety” on page v and “Installation guidelines” on page 487.
2. If the compute node is installed in an IBM Flex System chassis, remove it (see
“Removing a compute node from a chassis” on page 489 for instructions).

Carefully lay the compute node on a flat, static-protective surface, orienting the
compute node with the bezel pointing toward you.
Procedure
To remove the CMOS battery, complete the following steps:
1. Remove the cover (see “Removing the compute node cover” on page 498).
2. Locate the CMOS battery on the system board (see “System-board connectors”
on page 16).
3. If a cover is over the CMOS battery, remove the cover.
4. Pivot the CMOS battery toward the middle of the compute node.
