Floppy Disk Controller
Error
Load the Setup default settings in the Setup Utility.
For information on using the Setup Utility, see
“Starting the Setup Utility” on page 74.

Floppy Drive A Error

Make sure that the Diskette Drive A parameter setting
within the Setup Utility is correct. For information on
Setup Utility options, see the “Setup Utility” help on
page 71.

Make sure the diskette drive signal cable is properly
connected to the drive and to the system board.

Make sure the drive power cable is properly plugged
in.

If the error still shows after doing steps 1 to 3, the
diskette drive may be defective.

Onboard Floppy Drive

Remove all the add-on cards in the system.

Power on the system to see if it works without the
cards.

Re-install the cards one by one to determine which of
the cards caused the error.

After determining the defective card or cards, replace
the cards.
