Adding and removing hardware
To install a DIMM:
1
Turn off the computer.

Remove the system cover.
3
Locate the system memory socket where you want
to install the memory module.
4
Press back the clips on both ends of the socket to
open them.
5
Insert the memory module by lining up the notches in
the base of the module with the notches in the
memory module on the system board. Slide the
module between the guides on the side of the
socket.
