IR Impact ™ Options for Oil Safety Control
A. Using a Standard Mechanical Oil Pressure Safety Control (Penn or Danfoss MP54)
1. As an alternate to the P545 switch a standard differential oil switch may be used.
2. The switch should be a fixed differential type with a 90 second time delay with a 9-psi differential
pressure.
3. When using the mechanical oil differential safety switch follow the diagram in Figure 30.
4. Connect the “OIL” pressure line to the fitting marked with the “ + ” sign, and the “Low” pressure
line to the fitting marked with the “
-
“ sign on the oil pump housing (see Figure 33).
