3)
The integrity of the heater element can be verified by checking its resistance.
A)
Disconnect control circuit power.
B) Remove the black & brown wires from INT 69/70 terminals #1 & #2.
C) Use an ohmmeter to check the resistance across the black & brown wires.
D) Heater resistance should be 320
Ω
(+/- 5%)
4)
To test the oil level function of the INT 69/70, do the following:
A) Disconnect power to the INT 69/70
B) Remove the "red" wire that runs from the INT69/70 to the oil level sensor.
C) Energize the INT 69/70
D) The control circuit should lockout and both the COT & Oil Fail Relay lights should come on.
NOTE: Regardless of the source of the lockout, the INT69/70 must be manually reset by interrupting
the power supply. Cycling the compressor switch will not only reset the compressor, but will de-
energize the IRR relay which interrupts the 24 volts to the INT69/70 module to reset the oil failure
control.
Electrical Connections
Wiring must be according to the schematic diagrams (Figures 1, 2, 3). To assure the lockout functions,
always place the device as the first link in the control circuit chain. No warranty claims can be accepted,
if this device is not connected or if it is incorrectly connected.
Attention!
Danger of winding damage and protection device failure!
Terminals 1-2, B1-B2 on the motor protection device or terminals 3-4 on the compressor terminal board
must not come into contact with supply or control circuit voltage.
