liquid slugging should be provided. Also ensure sufficient suction gas
superheating.
x
A high degree of dehydration, installation of generously sized driers, and change
after approximately 100 operating hours. Careful handling – only use lubricant
from originally sealed containers.
x
Operation within controlled temperature limits
x
Installation of suction side clean up filters.
Note
x
Due to the special risks with ester lubricants and HCFC refrigerant circuits,
in the case of compressor damage, we reserve the right to assess a possible
warranty claim based on an individual examination of the compressor in our
laboratory facility.
x
All compressors can be used with R134a, R404A, R507, and R407C whereby the
positive characteristics of ester lubricants are fully exploited. This is preferred
over a HCFC system with ester lubricant.
Compressor Retrofit
When replacing another manufacturer’s compressor with an Ingersoll Rand
Impact
¥
compressor, lubricant compatibility must be investigated. If the lubricant in the system is
listed in the Alternative Lubricants Table (shown on prior page), lost lubricant may be
replaced with that lubricant. If the lubricant in the system is not listed, it is
recommended that the lubricant be replaced with one on the list or contact Hussmann
Global Engineering for further guidance. Consult the retrofit section of this catalog for
proper retrofit procedures.
