TRACe Subsystem
TRACe Subsystem
The TRACe subsystem controls access to the internal trace memory of
the analyzer.
Copy Trace
:TRACe:COPY <source_trace>,<dest_trace>
Transfers the source trace to the destination trace and leaves the
destination trace in VIEW mode.
Source traces are: TRACE[1]|2|3
Destination traces are: TRACE[1]|2|3
Example:
:TRAC:COPY TRACE2,TRACE1

Transfer Trace Data
:TRACe[:DATA] <trace_name>,<rawtrace>,<definite_length_blo
ck>|(<number>{,<number>})
:TRACe[:DATA]? <trace_name>
Transfers trace data from the controller to the instrument. If the data
format is ASCII, the data needs to be comma-separated ASCII data.
The query returns the current values of the designated trace. The data
is terminated with <NL><END> (for HP-IB that is newline, or linefeed,
followed by EOI set true.)
NOTE
This command does not allow setting all trace points to the same
amplitude value by sending just a single value. If you need to set all
trace points to the same value, you must send 401 comma-separated
amplitude values.
Rawtrace is of data type int,32, is unitless, and is the fastest method of
obtaining trace data. Rawtrace is described in IEEE Standard
488.2-1992, IEEE Standard Codes, Formats, Protocols and Common
Commands for Use with ANSI/IEEE Std 488.1-1987. New York, NY,
1992.
<trace_name> is
TRACE[1]|2|3 or rawtrace
