2.3.7 Fitting the RAS 81 suction system (Option)
1. Dismantle the additional cover (1a, Figure 16)
and then the pellet hopper lid (1b) by releasing
screws (1c) and (1d). The additional cover (1a) is no
longer required!

Fix the edge protection profile (2b) in position (2a) in
the pellet hopper (2, Figure 17).
3. Remove the round plastic cover (3) on the back right
of the pellet hopper (2, Figure 16). Fit the plastic
rings provided at the top and bottom of the apertures.
The plastic cover is no longer required!

Pull the protective film off the sound absorbing mat (4,
Figure 17). When attaching the mat, ensure that it is
aligned precisely with the aperture (4a) on the pellet
hopper (see Figure 17).
5. Place the suction system (5) on the four M6 threaded
bolts (5a). Place a plastic insulating sleeve (5b)
(with the collar facing downwards) and a large
washer (5c) on each bolt and then fix the suction
system in position with self-locking nuts (5d).
6. Route the extension cable of the suction system
out through the top aperture (3, Figure 16) on the
pellet hopper and downwards towards the burner.
Then route the extension cable in again through the
bottom aperture to the automatic firing device and
connect it as shown in the wiring diagram.
7. Attach the cable duct (7, Figure 17) to the pellet
hopper (2) using M5x35 screws.
8. Attach the round sound absorbing mat (8)
(remove protective film) at the position provided (

H). Attach the pellet hopper lid (1b, Figure 16) to the
pellet hopper (2) using screws (1c). Then attach sound
absorbing mat (8a) to the additional lid (8b) (remove
protective film) in centred position and fix in place with
screws (1d).
