Maintenance
6.1
Cleaning the boiler
See operating manual for a detailed description of the
cleaning intervals and cleaning procedures.
boiler must not be wet-
cleaned.
6.2
Annual maintenance by the heating engineer
The boiler must be disconnected from
the mains before performing annual
maintenance (all pole main switch, main
fuse or in Switzerland the mains plug).
The following parts must be checked for correct functioning,
repaired and cleaned if necessary:
6.2.1 Heating system
•
Heating system overpressure safety valve
•
Expansion tank
•
Flue duct and connecting pipe work to the boiler
•
Explosion damper and draught limiter
•
Return temperature control
6.2.2 Boiler
Empty the ash box.
Cleaning work, burner plate and bottom section:
•
To clean the combustion chamber and the burner plate,
first open the combustion chamber door (see operating
manual).
Ensure that there are no glowing embers. Otherwise,
your vacuum cleaner could be destroyed!
•
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove residue from the
burner plate. Carefully vacuum-clean the air holes.
•
Check the immersion sleeve of the burner chamber
temperature sensor for damage (replace if necessary)
and remove any dust adhering to it.
•
In the bottom section, only roughly vacuum off the
upper layer of ash. A cushion of ash should remain in
the bottom section for insulation purposes.
•
Clean and inspect the post-combustion ring and dust
separator (see operating manual).
•
Clean the ignition tube.
•
Check the sealing cord on the combustion chamber
door and replace if necessary.
•
Close the combustion chamber door again before
cleaning the flue gas collector.
Flue gas collector cleaning procedure:
•
Dismantle the cover of the heat exchanger
(four M8 screws).
• Remove the fly ash in the collector chamber with
a vacuum cleaner.
•
Remove any encrusted deposits from the impeller of
the induced-draught fan.
• Clean the lambda probe and flue gas temperature
sensor using a brush.
