5.2
filling up the heating system, the calorifier
(if fitted) and hot water buffer storage tank
Fill up the heating system with mains water. Here, the
country-specific standards and directives on “Corrosion and
boiler protection in heating and domestic water systems”
must be observed. Remove all air from the system.
Monitor the water level and pressure on the hydrometer
and pressure gauge respectively.
5.3
Commissioning
Commissioning of the pellet heating boiler as part of
a newly installed system must be performed by an
authorised heating engineer. The installation inspection
must be completed before this. The system must be
approved by the heating engineer prior to commissioning.
To enable the room extraction system to be checked,
do not fill the storage room and the pellet hopper
before commissioning. Make available approx.
150...200 kg of pellets in sacks for commissioning.
Important note: The bioLyt unit may only be put into
operation by Hoval customer service. Otherwise,
all warranty claims will be void.
When starting up the system for the first
time, the correct operation of all the safety
and control devices must be verified.
The operation and maintenance of the
system must be explained to the user
in detail.
Information for the installer:
Obtain from the user written confirmation that
the operation and maintenance procedures have
been explained to him and that he has received
the corresponding operating manuals (for sample
form, see page 54). The manufacturer of the unit is
responsible for providing operating manuals for the
complete system. These assembly instructions must
not be destroyed after completing the commissioning
procedures, but should be permanently stored with
the unit (system manual).
When starting up the system for the first time,
increased CO emissions may occur as a result of
varnish and other substances within the boiler.
No CO measurements should therefore be conducted
on the day of commissioning.
5.4
Installation inspection
The following checks must be performed:
1. Safety valve installed (system sealed)?
2. Control system in operation (connected to the
power supply)?
3. Sensors for the safety temperature limiter and boiler
temperature controller are inside the immersion sleeve?
4.
System filled with water?
5. Expansion tank connected?
6.
Flue gas outlet with flue gas conduit connected to
flue gas system? Flue draught limiter operative?
Explosion damper OK?
7. Heat consumption in the system ensured?
8. Combustion air supply available?
9. Are all motors and fans connected correctly
(relay test)?
10. Are all sensors and probes connected correctly?
