6.4 Use in the field
6.4.1 Work instructions
NOTE
Please note:
Ø
To control the seed refer to the operating instructions for the drill controls.
Ø The machine must be in horizontal position when used in the field.
Ø
Do not drive backwards with the machine lowered. The components are not
designed for this and could be damaged.
Ø
Connecting the machine, see Connecting .
Ø Unfolding the machine, see Unfolding .
Ø
Align the seed bar, see chapter Aligning the seed bar .
Ø
Activate the drill controls. Follow the associated operating instructions for the
settings on the drill controls.
Ø Perform the calibration for fertiliser metering, see chapter Pneumatic system –
fertiliser and operating instructions for the drill controls.
Ø
Adjusting the machine, see the respective chapters:
• Single grain metering unit
• Fertiliser metering unit
• Drill unit
• Working depth
• Coulter pressure
• Fan fertiliser
• Fan vacuum Overpressure
• Main Tank Supply (MTS)
Ø
Check the pre-tensioning pressure for the folding cylinders at regular intervals
while drilling, repress if necessary. Minimum pressure 100 bar.
Ø
Switch the Hydraulic valve block control unit to the floating position when
sowing.
