15 Troubleshooting
Fault
Possible cause
Remedy
Too many faults
Working speed too high
Reduce working speed.
Required grain frequency (grains/s)
too high
Reduce working speed.
Overpressure too low
Increase the pressure.
Check lines and connections for
leaks.
Grain feed gate set incorrectly
Set the grain feed gate correctly. Ad-
justments in both directions may pro-
duce improvements.
• First set the gate valve upward
(greater number).
• Set the gate valve down (smaller
number) if no improvement is
produced.
• Check the filling level of the
metering disc, see section
Meter-
ing unit
Metering disc too small
Switch to larger metering disc.
Wrong scraper
Replace the scraper.
Intake grille overpressure fan soiled
Clean the Intake grille overpressure
fan.
Grain sensor dirty
Clean the Barrel with the supplied
brush.
Observe the correct position of the
cables when cleaning the sensor. Do
not pinch cable under components.
Grain geometry misshapen or in-
homogeneous
Reduce working speed.
Increase the Overpressure.
Use homogeneous batch.
Separating units and metering discs
soiled by deposits (dressing, dust)
Clean dirty parts.
Too many double seeds
Overpressure too high
Lower the Overpressure.
Reduce the fan speed.
Metering disc too large
Switch to smaller metering disc.
