Care and maintenance
Thoroughly clean the auger, especially after using it with dressing or fertiliser. These
agents are aggressive and promote corrosion.
The covering on the bottom end of the pipe can be opened for cleaning.
1. Clean the filling auger every day from residues, water and dust.
2. Lubricate the bottom auger bearing every week when in use.
14.4 Agitator shaft
WARNING
Danger of injury
Ø
Open the flap for residual quantity emptying only when the machine has been
shut down and secured against restarting.
Ø
Never operate the agitator shaft with the discharge flap open.
Ø
Make sure before selecting the agitator shaft that no persons are present in
the danger zone.
During transport travel fertiliser is compressed through shocks and vibration and can
adhere to the hopper.
To prevent this, the fertiliser is loosened up with two agitator fingers. The agitator
fingers are operated by a hydraulic cylinder (1) outside the fertiliser hopper and
moved automatically during lift-out.
The agitator shaft is secured against overload with a shearing bolt (M8 x 60) (2).
