3-1 Turn On the Power Switch
Turn on the power switch.
Turn on the power switch.
- Turn the power switch to the right.
- After the Initial Screen appears, the Warm-Up
Screen appears.
The glue inside the tank melts 40 to 50 minutes
after the power is turned on. Press
while
Warm-Up Screen is indicated. The Warm-Up
Screen disappears after the glue is melted com-
pletely, then the Changeover Confirmation
Screen appears.
3-2 Safety Function Check
The BQ-270 includes safety functions which protect the
user from dangerous situations. Check these safety
functions:
- Emergency stop button

Right safety cover
- Left safety cover
- Lower nipper door
All of these must work properly. Operate the cover, or
press the button, and check the error icons on the Error
Screen. If the Error Screen appears, the safety function
is working properly. If the Error Screen does not
appear, there is a problem with the safety circuit. Stop
using the machine and call your local dealer.
3. Starting the Binding Operation
WARNING
Do not touch the melt tank after the power is
turned on. The melt tank is heated to 200
degrees Celsius (400 Fahrenheit), and may
cause severe skin burns.
Also be careful of the melt tank cover.

When the warm up has completed, the glue tem-
perature does not necessarily rise to the set
temperature, therefore it can be warm enough
for the application drum to rotate.
