8-1 Installation
Wire the machine.
- Connect the machine main power.
- Follow the procedure described below. Check
the milling cutter rotate direction.
1) Turn on the main power.
2) Enter the service mode.
3) Slide the milling section safety cover and
hold it using the gummed tape.
4) Press button (Milling Cutter Rotation
Button) on the Information - Single Operation -
Milling Screen.
- Seeing the milling cutter from top, the knife
should turn clockwise.
Do not check the rotating direction by
slowing down the cutter using the
button. The milling cutter may be
seen rotating backward by sudden
braking. It is useful if you tape a string
of paper on the sheet guide and touch
the other side of the paper to the knife
edge. Press on the screen and
the edge of the paper will be drawn to
the rotating direction.
5) If the milling cutter rotates counterclock-
wise, exchange the two black cables (out of
three) each other at the power box, which
supply the power to the machine.
6) Rotate the milling cutter again by the single
operation and ensure that the cutter rotates
clockwise.
WARNING
Keep your hands away from the
rotating milling cutter. It may cause
severe personal injury.
