Cal menu
In the Cal menu, zero calibration and span calibration of the MLSS detector is preformed.
Since the transmission method is adopted, the zero point might change due to dirt, but span
sensitivity does not change.
It is recommend to check the zero point at regular intervals. For span calibration, obtain the
correlation between a measured value and an analyzed value in a certain period during which
concentration fluctuates, and enter a coefficient. For measurement of activated sludge, select
a working curve of MLSS. For any samples other than activated sludge, good correlation can
be obtained up to high concentration by selecting a working curve suitable for the properties of
a sample.
An operational check board is not a benchmark. Span calibration cannot be performed by
attaching an operational check board.
Entering the calibration menu
Calibration can be performed by one of two methods: hold down the CAL key during
measurement, or select the Calibration menu in the Hold mode.
This section describes the procedure for entering Cal mode from the Hold mode.

In the Meas mode, hold down the HOLD key until the HOLD indicator lights up.

key to display "CAL" on the display part for the measured value.
