Connecting the RS-485 terminal
The HU-200SS SS-90 has an RS-485 communication terminal. To use this terminal, connect
the wiring.
z
The applicable electric wire is 0.14 mm
2
to 2.5 mm
2
(AWG26 to AWG14).
z
For the communication output cable, use a twisted shielded pair cable.
z
Up to 32 connections can be made including the one for the host computer. For address
settings, see “ RS-485 address setting ” (page 31).
z
The maximum communication cable length is 500 m.
z
To terminate the cable, strip the covering at the end by 11 mm, and then connect the
stripped end to the terminal.
z
For the terminating device on the RS-485 communication line, use a terminating resistor
(Rt: 120
Ω
).
