Unscrew and remove the engine oil
fill cap on the valve cover. Pour in
the oil slowly and carefully so you do
not spill any. Clean up any spills
immediately. Spilled oil could
damage components in the engine
compartment.
Reinstall the engine oil fill cap, and
tighten it securely. Let the engine
warm up and turn off the engine, let
it sit for approximately 3 minutes,
then check the oil level on the
engine oil dipstick. Do not fill above
the upper mark; you could damage
the engine.
Oil is a major contributor to your
engine’s performance and longevity.
Always use a premium-grade
detergent oil. It is highly
recommended that you use genuine
Honda Motor Oil, ‘‘ACEA A1/B1,’’
‘‘ACEA A3/B3,’’ or ‘‘ACEA A5/B5’’
in your vehicle for as long as you
own it.
Always use genuine Honda Motor
Oil or a fuel-efficient oil that says
‘‘ACEA A1/B1’’ ‘‘ACEA A3/B3,’’ or
‘‘ACEA A5/B5.’’ This oil is
formulated to help your engine use
less fuel.
You can select the proper SAE/
ACEA viscosity oil for your vehicle
