Hill-Rom® P500 Therapy Surface User Manual (158251 REV 3) 

If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a three-wire 
extension cord that has a three-blade grounded plug and a three-slot 
receptacle that accepts the plug on the product. Repair or replace a 
damaged cord.
