4.1.4 Loading the Tool Magazine
Should, after a power cut or an emergency stop, the
magazine position a tool at an incorrect place it will
be necessary to define the magazine again.
Proceed as follows:
• Drive magazine place 1 to the loading station.
• Switch over to "Manual" mode.
• Key in M 80.
The message "Magazine Definition". will appear.
Danger
In case of uncorrect loading of the tool magazine
danger of collision and/or tool breakage is imma-
nent.
Use only tools which are suitable for cutting the
material intended. Please also note, that certain
tools are only accepted for speeds up to a certain
limit.
To advance the magazine you have to depress the
acceptance key [1] together with the rotating switch
[3]. The chain magazine will advance according to
the switch position (left or right).
In case any one of the keys is released, the magazine
will automatically stop at the next tool pocket.
Note
With open tool pocket [4] the magazine cannot be
advanced. Automatic movement is only possible
with closed magazine door.
Inserting a Tool
• Position the magazine via keys [1] and [3] at the
correct pocket.
• Press key [2], the tool pocket [4] will open.
• Insert the tool and hold it in place.
• Press key [2] again, the tool pocket [4] will close.
Danger
Don’t hold the tool above the flange. Otherwise
there will be a danger of pinching when the tool
pocket closes.
Removal of a Tool
• Position the magazine via keys [1] and [3] at the
correct pocket.
• Hold the tool.
• Press key [2], the tool pocket [4] will open.
• Remove the tool.
• Press key [2] again, the tool pocket [4] will close.
Note
When inserting tools into the magazine use the
manual gripper which is optional equipment.
Make sure, that the tools register correctly in the
groove when inserting them. In case the tool is not
correctly registered in the groove the message
"Malfunction of Tool Holder Flap" appears. This
message disappears only after pressing emergency
stop.
Danger
Danger of pinching. In case of a power failure or
activation of an EMERGENCY STOP the opening
system of the tool holder will close automatically.
