The following safety
precautions must absolutely be
followed:
• In this operating mode only authorised skilled
personnel may work with the machine.
• The user of the equipment must ensure, that only
skilled personnel, who has been specifically
informed about the risks and working conditions
in this operating mode is allowed to work with the
machine when it is run in this mode.
• Move the hand module to an optimal and easily
reachable position before starting to work with the
quill, to ensure, that the EMERGENCY STOP key
can be activated at all times.
• The work piece must be securely clamped onto
the table.
• Don’t reach between spindle and work piece or
between table and surrounding sheet metal parts.
• Never bow under or aside the table. To clean the
machine the operating mode I or II must be
selected.
• Now screws, nuts or similar parts may protrude
from the clamped tool. Particular care needs to be
taken with large boring heads or similar tools.
• Make sure, that the tools in use are suitable for the
selected speeds and machining tasks.
• The use of grinding wheels is not allowed.
• The quill may only be used to drill, counterbore
and bore. Using the quill as an extension for the
tool for milling operations is only allowed when the
cabin is closed.
• During working with the quill flying chips or particles
may cause danger. In addition to appropriate
safety clothing also wear safety goggles.
3.1 Safety Instructions / Remaining Risks and Dangers
Remaining Risks and Dangers
Danger
In operating mode III - universal/hand mode the axis
drives remain
connected for all axes
. This is
necessary to ensure the accuracy of the machine
also during working with the quill.
This however also means, that in this mode the
operator is exposed to exeptional dangers and
needs to be trained specifically.
Because of the fact that the axis drives are
connected, special care has to be taken, that the
operator does not reach between moving machine
parts and walls.
