3-7
Enter the desired direction of rotation by entering an
"M" function. The entry will appear on the screen.
Possible entries to determine rotational direction:
M03 Milling spindle clockwise
M04 Milling spindle counter-clockwise
M13 Milling spindle clockwise/
cooling-lubricant on
M14 Milling spindle counter-clockwise/
cooling-lubricant on
EMERGENCY STOP
In case of emergency press one of the two red
EMERGENCY STOP buttons.
In case of failures which present any danger to the
operator, or which impair the functional safety of
the machine, the machine will be switched off
automatically through an internal EMERGENCY
STOP function.
• Eliminate the cause of the failure.
• In case you have pressed one of the two
EMERGENCY STOP buttons yourself, release
the respective EMERGENCY STOP button by
pulling it out or turning it.
• Press the acceptance key [9].
• To erase the error message on the screen press
"CE" [2].
The machine is again ready for operation.
Power Display
During machining a workpiece the control unit will
show on the screen the actual spindle power as a
bar diagram. This bar diagram reaches from 0 to
150 % (100 % = 11.5 kW) and is divided into 3
sectors.
• green sector
0 - 80 %
• yellow sector
80 - 110 %
• red sector
> 110 %
Danger
Reduce feed rate if the red sector is reached.
3.2 Starting the Machine - General
Note
By pushing the axis buttons X'-, Y+, and Z+ the
refernce points can be approached in any desired
order. For reasons of safety, the axis buttons X'+, Y-, and
Z'- are blocked in this mode of operation.
Should it not be possible to approach the reference
points in this way, or should it be necessary to move
the axes immediately in the X-plus, Y-minus, or in
the Z-minus direction, then please proceed as
described on page 2-16 of the chapter on "Initial
Start Up".
This is the case if, for example, the machine is
equipped with an NC-swivelling rotary table which is
sitting in the uppermost position and the machine
should be driven in Z-axis.
The machine is ready to operate when a desired
spindle rotational speed is entered.
Selection of Spindle Speed
In order to input the spindle speed, press the button
"S" [6] on the softkey panel, and then enter the
desired rotational speed via the digital input block.
The function of each respective softkey is shown on
the lower edge of the screen through a corresponding
field.
Press the "NC-Start" button [4]. The optimum drive
ratio will now be automatically loaded.
Press the two green "Spindle On" keys at the same
time. The main spindle will run at the desired
rotational speed.
If you should want to alter the rotational speed while
the machine is in operation, it is sufficient to re-enter
the rotational speed and to press the "NC-Start"
button [4].
The machine will stop the spindle, automatically
load the optimum drive ratio, control the rotational
speed, and will restart the main spindle at the new
speed.
With the rotational speed regulator [7] the preloaded
rotational speed can be infinitely varied from 70 -
150%.
If you want to turn the spindle manually when
setting-up, enter the rotational speed valve "0". The
machine switches over to idle.
Generally the spindle rotates clockwise. To change
the direction of rotation, chose the softkey "M" [8].
