• Ensure that the lifting tackle is of sufficient lifting
capacity.
• Both loops of rope must then be hung onto (or
threaded through) the different lifting devices on
the left and right-hand sides of the machine (see
illustration).
• Unscrew and remove the four holding nuts (24
mm spanner) in the foot of the machine.
• Lift the machine approx 10 cm (4 inches)vertically
upwards with a fork-lift truck or crane and pull the
pallet away from underneath.
• For safety, let the machine down a little and
transport it carefully to the place where it is to be
erected.
Transporting the Machine with a Fork-lift
Truck
When using a fork-lift truck ensure that it is capable
of lifting at least 6000 kg. The fork-lift must be
equipped with a boom at which a cross-beam can
be attached.

Note
When transporting the machine, the HERMLE lifting
device should normally be used. Under no
circumstances should ropes or lifting tackle be
attached to the following equipment:
• Machine table
• Compound slide
• Spindle slide
