13. INTERRUPTION OF OPERATIONS
Before carrying out any type of work on the system, it is imperative that the power supply is
disconnected first.
Malfunction Possible cause Repair
The pump does not transport
water
No power supply Check mains connection / fuse
Short circuit in the motor Change coil and / or motor
Passage blocked Check position of the ball valves
(104) and / or remove large ob-
jects such as plastic, pieces of
wood etc. Remove all rubble from
the shaft
Pump blocked, thermal trigger
activated
Check cutting unit for wedging
and reset thermal trigger
Pump sucking in air Increase switch-off level until no
more air is sucked in
Ball valves not open Open ball valves
System does not transport
enough water
Wrong rotation direction Swap poles
Mains voltage insufficient Check mains voltage
Pipe or system blocked Clean system parts
Heavy wear of the stator / rotor
and / or rotor disc
Replace stator / rotor and / or ro-
tor disc / check transport products
Thermal trigger for pump motor Thermal relay incorrectly set Reset nominal current
Two-phase operation Check fuses, connections and
cables
Mains voltage insufficient Check mains voltage
Thermal switch for pump motor Layer of dirt on motor casing Clean the aggregate
Permanent operation of the pump
without cooling or blocked inlet
Check control and level actuator
Blockage caused by stones Remove stones
Check and, if necessary replace,
cutting unit (51 and 52)
