9.1. Pump pit
The pump pit and any connection control pit and, where applicable, further control pits, must be stable, clean
and dry.
Procedure
- Seal any gaps and cut-outs.
- Insert into the pit the inlet pipe with the curved inlet and the plastic pipe for the cables. Cut-outs must be
sealed to a professional standard.
- The pump pit must be placed as close to the house as possible to ensure that it can be accessed in any
weather without any field damage (e.g. garage entrance). For the purpose of easy cleaning, a water con -
nection should be situated in the vicinity of the pit.
- In case the system features a connection control pit, its floor must be designed in such a way that water
can drain off easily. The pressure line must protrude into the pit by approximately 0.3 m.
