The „Gardner Testprotocol“
for application Angiology.
The Gardner Testprotocol serves for evaluation of
the maximum walking distance of Peripheral
Arterial Disease Patients with Intermittent
Claudication.
The test has to be performed under permanent
supervision of a doctor and a fall prevention
system (e.g. safety arch with chest belt) has to be
used.
The patient first stands on the side-footboards of
the running machine and not on the belt. Start test
profile 11 and the belt speeds up to 3.2 km/h. As
the patient steps on the running belt the doctor
press the START key again and by pressing the
START key the second time the displays will be
reset to zero.
After completing the test the results can be printed
on a host printer, if connected to the interface of
the running machine directly.
