ARC
With ARC (Audio Return Channel) the audio
signal of the television program can be played
back via a HDMI cable or an optical cable with
a multi-channel amplifier.
Back-light
Manual setting for back lighting (only active if
dynamic back lighting is switched to "OFF"). This
setting also directly impacts power consumption.
Block Noise Reduction
This function can only be selected with digital
reception sources and AV pre-sets. It reduces
any interference from artefacts (pixel blocks)
from digital programs due to MPEG compres-
sion (such as from DVB-T receivers and lower
transmission rates or DVD players).
Common Interface
Interface for DVB receiver. Scrambled channels
can only be viewed with a CA module suitable
for the encoding system and the corresponding
smart card.
Digilink
This feature utilizes CEC (Consumer Electronics
Control) protocol.
CEC enables the external devices which are
connected to the HDMI socket with a HDMI
cable to be controlled by a remote control.
DiSEqC
DiSEqC (Digital Satellite Equipment Control)
is a digital system for controlling complex satel-
lite systems with motors or several LNBs.
DiSEqC is required if two or more satellite posi-
tions are to be controlled.
DLNA
Digital Living Network Alliance is an interna-
tional agreement between manufacturers of
consumer electronics, IT hardware and mobile
telephones. The agreement aims to ensure per-
fect communication between IT devices in the
home and personal use sector. This means that
you can access released data in your network
very simply via the Grundig LED TV remote
control and play it on the TV – without laborious
connecting of USB drives or burning DVDs.
Domain name system
The domain name system (DNS) is one of the
most important services on the Internet. Its main
function is to convert an Internet address into the
corresponding IP address.
DTS Studio Sound™
DTS Studio Sound is an advanced Surround
Sound solution package that precisely extracts
and positions audio signals for an atmospheric
audio experience. For completing the audio
experience, the psychoacoustic processes which
supply 3D audio playback (for bass and dia-
logue optimization and for supplying a uniform
and balanced volume for the entire content) are
implemented.
DVB-C
DVB-C (Digital Video Broadcasting – Cable) is
a variation of DVB which is used for the transmis-
sion of digital radio and television signals via a
cable connection.
DVB-S/S2
DVB-S/S2 (Digital Video Broadcasting – Satel-
lite) is for the broadcasting of DVB signals via
satellite.
DVB-T/T2
DVB-T/T2 (Digital Video Broadcasting – Terres-
trial) is a variation of DVB which is used for the
radio transmission of digital radio and television
signals via terrestrial channels.
