8. Thoroughly remove and clean all old “Locktite”
away from the piston and the inside diameter of the
piston. Remove seals and thoroughly wash all
cylinder parts with a petroleum based solvent.
9. Using a new seal kit, replace the Wiper seal, Gland
body seal and the Rod Gland Lipseals. It is
essential that the Rod Gland Lipseal “cup end”
faces the direction of the piston. The sketch below
illustrates the orientation of each seal.
10.Using a new seal kit replace the Piston seal and its
two back-up rings.
