Tie Rod Tightening
Take care to tighten the three (3) tie rods evenly, failure
to do so can cause the valve spools to jam through dis-
tortion of the working sections. Also take care not to
pinch the section O-ring face seals. After the tie rods
have been tightened, operate each spool lever check-
ing for free and smooth spool movements.
Spool Types
Spools type A must be fitted to work sections marked A
and spools type B must be fitted to work sections
marked B as illustrated in step 1. Spools must be
tagged during disassembly as described in Step 7 (see
below).
4 In 1 Bucket- Spool Section 7 Only
This spring centered spool mechanism must be fitted
with the 1.5mm (0.060”) spacer that restricts spool
travel (see below).
Load Check Valve
Check the movement and action of the light bias spring
and poppet in the load check valve. Press the poppet in
and then release it to ensure it returns positively to its
extended position (see below).
Relief Valve Adjustment
Attach a pressure gauge (0-4000 psi) to the pressure
test point at the hydraulic pump outlet.
Use a 13mm socket wrench to remove the hexagon
cap locknut to reveal the relief valve adjusting screw.
The adjusting screw requires a 4 mm allen wrench for
adjustment.
