Remove the rear cover and check the rear face seals
for damage. No dowels are required for rear cover loca-
tion.
Lift the body of the pump off the gear set.This may
require a gentle “upwards” tap on the body side with a
soft hammer to free it from the location dowels. Dowel
pins will remain in either the front flange or the pump
body. Do not remove.
Keep the rear bearing block in the pump body as
shown above. Check the front face seal for damage.
Lift the gear set and front bearing block away from the
front flange. Keep these grouped together to ensure
correct reassembly.
Turn the front flange over in the vice and remove the
clip retaining the shaft seal.
Remove the shaft seal from the front flange by tapping
it out with a hammer, work around the entire 360
degrees taking care not to damage the front flange.
