The Solution
After using the steam func-
tion, the appliance must be
cooled down manually for
brewing.
This is normal. The temperature necessary for steam pro-
duction is too high for brewing. Proceed as described in
section ‘Cooling Down to Brewing Temperature’.
Not enough water in the
water tank. The WATER
LOW indicator is illuminated.
Pour at least 250ml cold drinking water into the water
tank. Then try again.
The power button
and steam button
are illuminated,
the 1 cup and 2
cups buttons are
flashing.
The overheat protection
has been triggered during a
brewing cycle.
The machine will return to normal operation automatical-
ly, as soon as the water system cooled down sufficiently.
Simply wait. The appliance is not intended for continuous
operation. Make a break in time.
A technical problem occur-
red.
If the machine does not recover automatically within 10
minutes, switch off the appliance (press the power button)
and wait for approx. 30 minutes. Then try again.
If the problem persists, get in contact with an authorized
service centre.
The machine is
switched on but
ceases to operate
or steam escapes
from the group
head.
Possibly, the overheat
protection of the pump is
active.
Switch off the machine and unplug. Wait for 15-30
minutes. Then try again.
You have operated the hot
water/steam function for
more than 3 minutes.
This is normal. Turn the hot water/steam switch back
to the vertical position and wait until the water system
reaches operating temperature again (power button is illu-
minated continuously). If required, try again.
