wand. Wait until steam escapes from the steam wand. Then turn the hot water/
steam switch back to the vertical position to stop the steam function.
Note
It may last a few seconds until steam is given off.
5. By the handle, turn the steam wand until you can hold the milk vessel conveni-
ently under the steam wand. Lift the milk vessel to immerse the tip of the steam
wand at an angle at least 1cm below the surface of the milk. The steam wand
should be near the side of the milk vessel.
Important:
Due to texturing, the milk may extend up to the three-fold volume. If
required, stop texturing in time to ensure that the milk will not overflow. The milk
and milk jug will be heated up via the steam. Be careful, while touching the milk
jug during texturing.
6. To start frothing, turn the hot water/steam switch clockwise. With the steam
wand held correctly, a vortex will be build in the milk.
7. As soon as the vortex is built, lower the milk vessel carefully to bring the steam
wand tip near the surface of the milk, thus inflating the milk with air for frothing.
Hold your hand at the bottom of the milk vessel to feel the temperature. While
doing so, ensure that the milk will not overflow.
WARNING:
After texturing, the steam wand will be hot. Hot steam and hot
water may escape even after switching off the steam function. Handle with care
to avoid scalding! Only touch the steam wand at the handle.
8. When the desired consistency is reached, BEFORE removing the milk vessel,
turn the hot water/steam switch back to the vertical position to stop the steam
flow. Wait until the steam flow stops. Thereafter, place the milk vessel onto the
warming tray.
9. Immediately, wipe the steam wand and tip with the damp cloth,
ensuring not to
touch the metal parts of the steam wand with your skin
. By the handle, turn
the steam wand to the drip tray. Purge the steam wand by activating the steam
function shortly.
11. If you do not wish to use the steam function again, press the steam button to switch
back to the hot water function. The buttons of the brewing functions will flash.

12. Consume the textured milk immediately, as milk froth will collapse after a short
time.
