5. Pull the handle wire out from both sides of the burr.
6. Hold the stainless steel body of the burr while turning the black collar 1 number
coarser or finer and align the desired number with the handle opening in the
collar. the default setting is 6.
7. Insert the handle wire from both sides of the burr. ensure that it settles firmly in
the handle openings.
imPOrtant:
If the number is not aligned with the handle opening correctly, the
handle wire cannot slide into the opening completely. In this case, you cannot lock
the upper burr within the grinder. turn the black collar of the burr a little until the
handle wire settles correctly within the collar.
8. Place the upper burr onto the lower burr, and by the handle turn the upper burr
clockwise to the stop.
9. replace and lock the bean hopper.
10. Grind some coffee beans and check the result.

• Fresh, quality coffee beans will give the best possible extraction/brew.
• Coffee flavour and strength is a personal preference. Vary the type of coffee
beans, amount of coffee and grind size to achieve the flavour you prefer. we
recommend high-quality coffee beans with a “roasted on” date stamped on the
bag, not a “Best Before” or “use By” date.
• Coffee beans are best consumed between 5-20 days after the “Roasted On”
date.
• Store coffee beans on a cool, dark place in a dry container. Vacuum seal if pos
-
sible.
• Buy coffee beans in small batches to reduce the storage time.
• It is best to grind directly before brewing to maximise flavour, as coffee is quickly
losing its flavour and aroma, once it is ground.
• The grind size will affect the rate at which the water flows through the ground
coffee in the filter basket and the taste of the coffee. the grind size should be
fine but not too fine.
• Do not store beans in the bean hopper. Fill them back in an airtight container.
• When storing the appliance, run the grinder empty to remove residues of coffee
beans left in the grinding chamber. thus you prevent the next coffee from getting
a flat and stale taste.
• For maximum freshness, before filling the filter basket, run the coffee grinder for
2 seconds with the bean hopper filled to purge some coffee.
• Clean the bean hopper, grind outlet, and conical burrs regularly, see: ›Care and
cleaning‹.
