3.3.1.1.1 Flag Test
The FLAG TEST page allows testing of the TO/FROM, CDI Valid, and VDI Valid flags for both the
Main and Auxiliary CDI outputs. The Nav Superflag, GSI Superflag, and Localizer (ILS Energize) can
also be tested for the Main CDI. While on the TEST menu page, press the
FLAGS
line select key to
display the FLAG test page. Press the
SELECT
line select key to toggle between MAIN and AUX CDI
flag tests, as shown in Figure 3-10 and Figure 3-11, respectively.

When on the appropriate page turn the large, outer knob to select the flag to be tested. Then turn the small,
inner knob to change the setting of that flag. Test each setting for every flag of each CDI connected to the
CNX80.
Press the
TEST
or
BACK
smart key to return to the Ground Maintenance Test menu.
