NOTES:
1. ALL WIRES 24 AWG OR LARGER UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED.
2. AT CNX80, CONNECT SHIELD GROUNDS TO THE REAR OF THE MOUNTING
FRAME ON THE CONNECTOR PLATE -- THE SHIELD LEADS MUST BE LESS
THAN 3.0 ". CONNECT OTHER SHIELD GROUNDS TO AIRCRAFT CHASSIS
WITH AS SHORT A CONDUCTOR AS PRACTICAL.
3. CNX80 SERIAL PORT SETUP ITEMS:
SERIAL SETUP (RX / TX):
SERIAL PORT 2: XXX / MAPCOM (9600)
ARINC 429 SETUP:
CH2_IN: AHRS LOW
4. SANDEL SN3308 SETUP ITEMS:
LNAV1/2 SELECT: IIMORROW GX (RS-232 ENH)
LNAV1/2 CHANGE: ANNUN=SERIAL, COURSE=DTK,
DEVIATION=ANALOG
NAV1/2: NAV-1/-2 ENABLE=YES, PORT=ANALOG, ILS=VALID LOW
RELAY MODE - SLAVE
RELAY SENSE: GPS-1/2=P2-30 (GPS 1 OR 2 AS APPROPRIATE)
THIS ALLOWS THE CNX80 TO CONTROL THE SELECTION OF THE NAV
SOURCE. REFER TO SN3308 INSTALLATION MANUAL FOR ADDITIONAL
DETAILS.
5. THE CNX80 CAN RECEIVE MAGNETIC HEADING FROM THE SN3308. ARINC
429 #1 IN (P5-7/27) MAY BE USED INSTEAD OF ARINC 429#2 IN. IF ARINC 429
#1 INPUT IS USED INSTEAD, IT MUST BE SET TO RECEIVE ADC LOW-SPEED
DATA.
6. ARINC 429 #2 OUT (P5-5/25) MAY BE USED INSTEAD OF ARINC 429#1 OUT.
7. RS232 TXD5 (P5-21/41) OR RS232 TXD1 (P1-5/23) MAY BE USED INSTEAD OF
RS232 TXD2. THE TRANSMIT PORT THAT IS USED MUST BE SET TO
XXX / MAPCOM (9600).
8. IF IMPLEMENTED, A MOMENTARY SWITCH MUST BE USED FOR THE
REMOTE COM FLIP FLOP FEATURE.
9. USE OF THE CNX80 PRECISION APPROACH DISCRETE (P5-68) WILL NOT
ALLOW THE GLIDESLOPE INDICATOR TO BE DISPLAYED ON THE SANDEL
UNLESS THE CNX80 MAIN CDI IS SELECTED TO NAV. IF IT IS DESIRED TO
HAVE THE GLIDESLOPE INDICATOR DISPLAYED WHENEVER A LOCALIZER IS
TUNED, P5-68 MUST BE DIODE-OR'D WITH THE ILS ENERGIZE DISCRETE
OUTPUT (P7-33). THIS MUST BE DONE AFTER THE CONNECTION TO THE
AUTOPILOT, SO THE ILS ENERGIZE OUTPUT CANNOT DRIVE THE
AUTOPILOT.
THIS PROVISIONAL ARINC 429 INTERFACE IS NOT PRESENTLY USED. IT
WILL BE UTILIZED IN A FUTURE VERSION OF THE CNX80 AND IT IS
RECOMMENDED THAT IT BE INSTALLED AT THE TIME OF CNX80
INSTALLATION.
