2. Click the [MODE] indication on the header. The indication is now highlighted in a
green color.
3. Scroll to show the desired mode. The available modes depend on the [Mode]
menu settings in the [System] menu. See section 4.7.8.
The table below lists the modes with their abbreviation (as displayed on-screen)
along with the meaning.

Note:
In the default setting, the zoom display (window) and external sounder dis-
play are not shown. If you need to add some displays, see page 4-21. Additionally,
the image from an external fish finder can be shown on a separate monitor. See
section 1.21.
Split beam display
This split beam display shows the underwater images captured with split beam
technology*. The fish size graph (section 2.2) provides information on the distri-
bution of individual fish, and the target position graph (section 2.3) lets you moni-
tor the movement of individual fish.
* A method of measuring the position and length of a single fish based on the
phase difference of the echoes received by dividing the transducer into front and
rear, left and right.
Beams 1 - 5 display
Images obtained by the multi-beam method (port direction, downward direction,
starboard direction) are displayed. Simultaneous search and display in up to 5 di-
rections. The default beam direction is as shown in the table below

Pair bearing and tilt angle can be changed. See page 4-15. Also, the
beam direction indication format also can be changed. See page 4-5.

The “simultaneous TX” feature permits simultaneous search. See page 4-
