How to adjust the gain for external echo sounders where "Ex-
ternal Fish Finder Window” is set to "Off" at installation
1. Click the [Sounder] icon (
) from the InstantAccess bar™ to show the [Sounder]
menu, then click the [External Fish Finder] icon (
), and the high/low frequency
icons appear.
2. Click the appropriate icon,
for low frequency,
for high frequency. The indi-
cation on the header changes to [EX GAIN LF] or [EX GAIN HF] respectively and
the indication changes to a green color.
3. Scroll to adjust the external fish finder’s gain.
Note:
The gain can also be adjusted by clicking the Mode and gain settings indication
on the HE picture or LE picture. Scroll to adjust the gain.

How to adjust the gain for external echo sounders where "Ex-
ternal Fish Finder Window" is set to "On" at installation
1. Place the cursor inside the external fish finder screen, then right-click to show the
[External Fish Finder] menu.
2. The [Sounder] menu is already selected. Click the [HF] or [LF] item from the
[Sounder] menu. The settings for the external fish finder appear in the right-side
of the menu window.
Note:
The menu for [HF] and [LF] are the same, the example above shows [HF].
Where [LF] is selected, set the items in a similar manner to this procedure.
3. Click the [Gain] item from the settings. The setting value is now highlighted.
4. To the far right-hand side of the gain value, select the
W
button to decrease the
gain, or select the
X
button to increase the gain.
5. Click [Apply] to save the current changes and change or adjust other settings.
Click [OK] to save the current changes and close the menu window.
Click [Cancel] to abort all changes and close the menu window.
Note:
The gain can also be adjusted by clicking the Mode and gain settings indication
on the HE picture or LE picture. Scroll to adjust the gain.
[EX GAIN HF] indication.
For low frequency, this indication appears as [EX GAIN LF].
