Power Supply
The DSL-8001 main unit does not start.
Cause : The power cable of the DSL-8001 main unit is not connected.
Solution : Check if the power cable of the DSL-8001 main unit is connected.
The power is turned ON, but the DSL-8001 keeps restarting.
Cause 1 : Because of unanticipated noise, the data on memory was corrupted.
Solution : A CPU board failure can be considered. Contact your nearest service representative.
Cause 2 : The battery is weak.
Solution : Check the connection of the power cable, and charge the battery.
Backup
Setup is initialized whenever a discharge is performed.
Cause : “Backup at Discharge” is set to OFF.
Solution : Set “Backup at Discharge” ON under the “Backup Setup” in the “Maintenance” menu.
Alarm
Alarm Sound is low or not generated.
Cause 1 : “Alarm Sound Suspend”, [Alarm OFF] or “Night Mode” is set.
Solution : Set up correctly.

”Alarm Sound Suspend” Cancel the “Alarm Sound Suspend” if necessary.
・
[Alarm OFF] Set up ON/OFF for each parameter.
・
”Night Mode” Alarm volume in the “Night Mode” can be selected.
Cause 2 : "Alarm Sound Volume" is set to the minimum.
Solution : Set up the alarm sound correctly under the "Sound Setup" window in the menu.
Although the "Alarm Sound Volume" is set to the minimum, the sound is not muted. If
the setup is correct but the sound is not generated, failure of the main CPU board,
display unit connection cable, or speaker-attached cable can be considered.
Alarm is not generated. Alarm message is not displayed.
Cause 1 : Alarm is silenced.
Solution : The alarm sound will automatically resume after the preprogrammed alarm silence
duration. To cancel the alarm silence condition, press the (Alarm Silence) key
again.
Cause 2 : Alarm sound is suspended.
Solution : Pressing
the (Alarm Silence) key for 3 seconds or more will suspend the alarm
sound in advance for preprogrammed duration. <Alarm Silence (xx min.)> message
will be displayed during this condition. To cancel the alarm sound suspend condition,
press again the
(Alarm Silence) key for 3 seconds or more.
Memo For the parameters in alarm OFF condition, the " " (Alarm OFF) icon will be displayed
inside the corresponding numeric data box
Cause 3 : The alarm limit is not set.
Solution : Set the upper/lower alarm limit for each parameter.
