Cause 1 : Electrode is detached.
Solution : Reattach the electrode. If the electrode attachment is inadequate, replace the
electrode.
Cause 2 : The lead cable is disconnected from the electrode terminal.
Solution : Reconnect the lead cable correctly.
If the error persists, the lead cable or relay cable may be faulty.
The <ECG Disconnected> message is displayed.
Cause
: While monitoring the ECG, the relay cable was unplugged.
Solution 1 : To cease monitoring, press the
(Alarm Silence) key. The message will
disappear, and the alarm will be silenced.
Solution 2 : To continue monitoring, plug in the ECG relay cable. This will clear the message and
silence the alarm.
The <ECG Check Electrodes> message is displayed.
Cause
: The electrode is detached, or is not making good electrical contact with the skin.
Solution : Check if the electrodes are properly attached.
Replace the electrodes.
Make sure that the lead cable or relay cable is not defective (wire break, etc.).
The <ECG Check Electrodes (Chest)> message is displayed.
Cause
: The chest electrode is detached, or is not making good electrical contact with the
skin.
Solution : Check if the chest electrodes are properly attached.
Replace the electrodes.
Make sure that the lead cable or relay cable is not defective (wire break, etc.).
The <ECG Communication Error> message is displayed.
Cause
: Communication error with the ECG board has occurred.
Solution : Reboot the equipment. If the same message is repeatedly displayed, a failure of the
equipment can be considered. Cease the measurement and contact Fukuda Denshi.
Respiration
0 (zero) is displayed for respiration rate.
Cause
: The respiration waveform amplitude is below the detection level (0.2
Ω
).
Solution : Change the electrode site so that the ECG amplitude is increased.
Because the impedance respiration detection shares the ECG electrodes, if “Lead
Off” is displayed or the electrode condition is unstable, the respiration rate may not be
displayed correctly.
The <RESP No Signal Detect> message is displayed.
Cause 1 : The amplitude of the respiration waveform is too low.
It is below 0.2 ohm which is outside the detection range.
Solution : Change the electrode site and increase the ECG amplitude.
Cause 2 : The electrosurgery-proof type ECG relay cable is used.
Solution : The impedance respiration can not be measured if the electrosurgery-proof type ECG
relay cable is used. If not using during electrosurgery, use the standard ECG relay
cable.
