Battery
This section describes precautions for handling and storing the battery.
Handling the Battery
y
The battery can be continually used for more than 300 times (or about 1 year) under normal
temperature, but the continuous use will degrade the battery and shorten the usable time.
y
When the battery operation time becomes short even after it is fully charged, the battery needs
to be replaced.
y
When the battery level becomes low, charge the battery well in advance for the next use.
y
The battery should be charged at room temperature (10 to 30
°
C).
y
When using the battery for the first time, or using after leaving it for a while, make sure to charge
the battery before use by connecting the power supply cable.
Storage
To take advantage of the characteristic of the battery, pay attention to the following when storing.
Storage Temperature and Humidity for the Battery
y
Store in an environment specified below without corrosive gas.

(non-condensing)
y
Do not store in an environment outside the specified temperature range or excessive high
humidity. This may result in leakage caused by expansion/contraction inside the battery or
rusting of the metal part.
Long-term Storage
y
If the battery is left installed in the monitor without use for a long period of time, the electrolyte
may leak, or inactivation of the battery may occur which degrades the capacity recovery after
storage. Therefore, if the equipment is to be stored over a long period, always remove the
battery from the monitor.
