Figure 100: Removing the protective cover

Remove the protective cover from the CPU socket. Proceed as follows:
▶
Place your thumb against the front edge of the protective socket cover
and rest your index finger on the rear grip.
▶
Lift the front edge of the socket to disengage the cover from the socket
and lift the cover up and away from the socket.
CAUTION
▶
Be careful not to touch or bend the pins on the CPU socket.
▶
Save the socket cover for future use. Always replace the
socket cover if you remove the CPU from the socket.
