11 Processor (CPU)
11.1 Safety notes
CAUTION
▶ Do not install unsupported CPUs. For more information on
supported CPUs, see "Basic information" on page 134 .
▶ Circuit boards and soldered parts of internal options are exposed
and can be damaged by static electricity. Always discharge static
build-up (e.g. by touching a grounded object) before handling
electrostatic sensitive devices (ESDs).
▶ Do not touch the circuitry on boards or soldered parts. Hold circuit
boards by their metallic areas or edges.
▶ When removing or installing CPUs, be careful not to touch or bend
the spring contacts on the CPU sockets.
▶ Never touch the underside of the CPUs. Even minor soiling such as
grease from the skin can impair the CPU’s operation or destroy the
CPUs.
